I Have Failed…

I failed. Yes, I have experienced failures over the years. I have missed the mark. I have fallen short. Yet in God’s goodness, I found grace in the midst all of the failures.

When We Lose Someone…

It is that season of the year when people remember their loved ones who have passed away. My mom and dad died several years ago. Yet, I still miss both of them.

Thinking of Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day. Many are looking forward to this day to celebrate mothers. Yet, we know of friends who struggle with this day.

What Really Matters

Are we so much into religion that we forget what is really important to God?

Burnt to the ground

Less than a year ago, more than 30 acres of grass and bushes along our bicycling path were reduced to ashes. As I biked this morning, I couldn’t help but notice how things have changed. New vegetation has grown. Flowers are blooming. After the fire, I remember feeling sad seeing the blackened landscaped dotted by […]

Never Lost

I must admit that there are times when I felt God has abandoned me. You probably have felt the same. Because of the severity of our trials, we sometimes think God has forgotten about us. I have had many prayers that say, “God, are you there?” Psalms 139: 7-12 “I can never escape from your […]

Little Moments

Last Tuesday night, I went to the Los Angeles airport to pick up my wife and son David from their week long vacation trip in New Jersey. I knew they will be both hungry by the time they arrive so I decided to go to David’s favorite, the In n Out restaurant, famous for its […]

Finding Grace in Failures

Through the years, we all learn important lessons. There is something I wish to share that has encouraged me and I think will greatly help you, too. I have learned that God will often let us fail out there for some very good reasons. I have learned that whenever I fall short, there is always […]
